Johnen und Schöttle
Advertising Campaign
The advertising series developed especially for the cologne-based Johnen + Schöttle Gallery works solely with typographic elements. For this, an existing sans-serif by tracking and line-spacing was modified, creating the feeling of enclosed "spaces".  These act as bands of color for the background color and typographical color distinction as a connecting element between drawing and surface, that result in a typographical relief "Image".  This series was for Artforum magazine.

Gerhard Richter
Deutsche Guggenheim
The Deutsche Guggenheim Berlin commissioned a work by Gerhard Richter for the exhibition "8 Grau": 8 monochrome gray glass panels with paint applied to the rear of the glass. The graphic concept was as programmatic as the exhibition title. Richter's shade of gray determined the whole campaign. The typography retreated into the background, so that the gray planes defined and dominated all information media. Invitation and poster were printed on a reflecting foil.
