2010
After Moholy-Nagy the previous year, two further Bauhaus protagonists served as reference for the design of the basic visual forms for the Design Prize 2010: based on the movement of the human body of the drawing school of Johannes Ijavascript:nicTemp();tten and the mechanical-kinetic form generator of Joost Schmidt.
The Motion Design for the event comprises graphical compositions for ca. 50 prize winners, Moderation-Screens as well as musical visualizations for Eric D. Clark, who will accompany the ceremony musically.

Raub und Restitution
Exhibitiongraphics, 2008
Concept and realisation of levels of information. The exhibition focuses on the paths of stolen goods from Jewish possesion by the national socialists, and their restitution after World War II. The graphic system describes 15 examples with a general outline as a separate level of information. The different typographic distinctions are arranged in close proximity to the described architectural objects and information, that are also in chronological order Architecture Wandel, Hoefer, Lorch + Hirsch with Tobias Katz und Marcus Kaiser. Opernturm
Corporate Design
This conceptual approach took location into consideration and cites the ornaments found in the surrounding area. Using references from different buildings, Surface developed a formal library of ornaments and patterns, an endless treasure trove of graphic images.
The design uses ultra-modern materials and techniques to create transparencies not only making the fence appear to be part of a theatre production but also giving the fence a sculptural character.

Ready for Take-Off
Corporate Design
Architectural Biennale 2007 in Sao Paulo, associates an airline and at the same time references the exhibition architecture. A simulated airport situation serves as a Forum for German Architecture 2007. The corporate follows the displays as well, that are conceived as light-boxes. A catalogue by Hartje Cantz accompanies the exhibition.
